Natural flowertime:June - September

Crop Time:Plug crop: 8-10 weeks; Green pots: 12-14 weeks; Flowering pots: 14-16 weeks, annual production is possible, 10-12 months with vernalization

Sell Period:non-blooming plants March-October, blooming plants March-July

Seed Form:Raw Seed

Seed Count:15385 K/g

Sowing Method:5-7 seeds per plug, sowing in final pot is possible

Germination:14-30 days at 18-22 ˇăC, in media with very low soluble salt levels and pH: 5.5-6.0. Requires light for germination. Before sowing treat substrate with fungicide. Cover seed lightly with vermiculite after sowing. Keep soil slightly moist but not wet. Avoid direct sunlight by shading seeds after sowing.

Plug Culture:From Stage II* reduce the soil moisture, the plug should not dry out and reduce the temperature to 15-18 ˇăC. Do not let soluble salt level rise above 0,5 EC. Start fertilization at 30-50 ppm nitrogen in a well balanced formula. During Stage III and Stage IV fertilization levels can be increased up to 100-150 ppm.

Growing On:5-8 weeks after sowing transplant 5-7 plants into a pack or pot (7-15 cm).Transplant the plant not too deep in pot.

Media:Use a well-drained, growing perennial substrate with 0-15 % clay, 0-20 % parts (e.g. bark, sand, perlite), 1-1,5 kg/m3 complete balanced fertilizer, iron-chelate, micronutrients, pH: 5.5-6.0.

Photoperiod / Light:Long day plant. The long day support the flower initiation while the short day support the vegetative growth. In the early three weeks of vegetative growth (in summer or in spring depending on variety) cultivate in short day (12 h, 20-30 Watt/m2) after that cultivate in long day (16-18 h). In winter additional assimilation light is required. Night interruption is possible.

Temperature:Grow at 12-18 ˇăC. In winter indoors frost free at 3-5 ˇăC or outdoors. For wintering the root development in pots has to be good. In spring the plants start to grow for 6-7 weeks at 15-18 ˇăC. Cold temperatures at 10-13 ˇăC will increase the cultivation time.

Fertilization:Low-moderate fertilization levels are required. Fertilize the crop weekly with 100-150 ppm nitrogen (at 0 kg/m3 slow release fertilizer in substrate), using a complete balanced fertilizer. Avoid high ammonium and high nitrogen levels. Don't fertilize after mid September. In spring fertilize with 100-150 ppm nitrogen of a potassium balanced fertilizer (N: K2O-ratio: 1:1,5). Prevent magnesium deficiency by applying magnesium sulphate (0,025 %) 1-2 times and in case of iron deficiency apply iron-chelate for 1-2 times.

Cultural Hints:Treat pots outdoors with fungicide against Botrytis, Rhizoctonia and Phytium. Do not cultivate the plants too wet or too dry.
